Steve is a lawyer that likes numbers. Before turning to law, he spent six years at Statistics Canada, mostly working on the consumer price index. After law school, he went to a legal tech start-up where he spent his time turning securities regulations into code.
“I saw MT+Co. as having an intense focus on delivering high value work for clients and an intense focus on enjoying themselves. I like both of those.”
Steve is part of our Business Law + Transactions Group. His work is focused on equity financings for high-growth companies, and advising clients on shareholder’s agreements, employee stock options plans, commercial agreements, and general mergers and acquisitions work.

Steve loves being a dad. He has four kids – two girls, two boys (and a new dog). He spends a lot of time trying to convince his crew to come on hikes that are “way too long, Dad!” – to jump into really cold bodies of water, or to sing songs with him that he is making up as he goes.
His success in kid negotiations is varied.
