Tour de Cure Team Feature – Warren Clarmont
August 19, 2022 News / People + Culture
This week we are excited to introduce another MT+Co. Teammate, Warren Clarmont. Warren is the Provincial Director of Indigenous Cancer Control at BC Cancer. At MT+Co., we are happy to have Warren on our team and to fundraise alongside him.
Thank you for taking the time to chat with us!
Q: Why are you riding in Tour de Cure?
“As an Indigenous cancer survivor myself, I am riding on behalf of current and future Indigenous cancer patients. In my role as Provincial Director of Indigenous Cancer Control at BC Cancer, I also want to raise awareness about the work we do to support patients and families who face a cancer diagnosis.”
Q: What’s your fundraising goal? How much have you raised thus far?
“My fundraising goal will probably be around the $2500 mark. Although, I am only at around $1000 currently. I should be close to my target by the ride.”
Q: How do you plan on achieving your goal? What are your favourite parts/strategies for fundraising?
“I am going to have to reach out directly to individuals to donate. My favourite part of fundraising has been reconnecting with people and explaining what we are raising money for.”
Q: If you’ve ridden before, tell us about your favorite or most memorable ride experience. If you haven’t, what got you to join, and what are you looking forward to?
“I have not ridden this distance before but am looking forward to getting back at it and meeting some new people along the way.”
We’re excited to continue working with BCCF and Warren on more projects in the future.
