We Pride Ourselves on Our People
MT+Co. comprises a group of forward-thinking professionals who have built a new kind of law firm based on a more passionate and more personal way of practicing law. We work closely together in an office with no doors. Needless to say, our people are important to us, and we could not be more excited to add Joelle Walker, Lou Poskitt and Tyson Lamarsh to our team of exceptional principals.
Spotlight on Joelle
Joelle Walker is a commercial and business litigator who focuses on corporate and commercial disputes and regulatory proceedings, including shareholder disputes, securities litigation, contract disputes, regulatory enforcement matters, and real estate disputes. Joelle also provides strategic advice on issues relating to corporate governance.
While Joelle has earned her stripes in the legal world, she’s also known for being a fantastic mentor. It’s hard not to laugh with her. She’s quick as a whip and she’s one of the best storytellers around.

Spotlight on Lou
Lou is a labour and employment lawyer who cares deeply about her clients, advising and representing them on all manner of issues that arise in the workplace, including but not limited to policy and contract drafting and interpretation, Human Rights matters, Employment Standards matters, disciplinary matters, and wrongful dismissals.
Lou is passionate about cooking (she’s a trained chef, after all), she grows a lot of her own food, she keeps bees and she’s master knitter. When she’s not doing all the things, she can be found on the local ski hills or at her cabin near Clinton, BC.

Spotlight on Tyson Lamarsh
Tyson is a lawyer in our Indigenous law group and one of the core members of the firm. He started at MT+Co. as a student and has built a reputation for punching above his weight. Tyson’s work focuses on issues relating to governance, project participation, community engagement, and rights and title strategies.
If Tyson’s not at the office, you will likely find him at a concert or music festival nearby.
