About

Dafydd is a principal lawyer in our Business Law Group. He advises clients on a range of corporate and commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financings, asset transactions, and securities law. Dafydd also provides advice on corporate governance, stock exchange, and charitable and not-for-profit matters.

EXPERTISE

Dafydd advises clients across a variety of industries, including: construction, technology and software, energy and cleantech, forestry, natural resources, transportation and hospitality. His practice is centred on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and strategic investments, and he regularly works with both sellers and purchasers, including private equity investors and strategic acquirors, on Canadian and cross-border transactions.

Dafydd has experience advising on share and asset acquisitions, financings and other complex commercial arrangements, and works closely with clients, lenders, accountants and transaction advisors to efficiently execute transactions and manage risk. Beyond transactional matters, Dafydd also assists clients with general corporate and commercial matters, including corporate governance, shareholder arrangements and day-to-day business issues.

WORTH NOTING

Outside the office, Daf enjoys living in beautiful British Columbia. Before committing to law, he worked as a wildfire fighter and still prefers spending his free time outdoors – biking, skiing and exploring with his family. He loves early-2000s pop-punk, and spending time at home with his wife and young son (not necessarily in that order).
