Emily Savage

Emily is a principal lawyer in MT+Co.’s Business Law Group and is the lead of MT+Co.’s mergers and acquisitions group. Emily has over a decade of experience leading mergers and acquisitions, financing, and corporate and commercial transactions.

EXPERTISE

Emily advises clients across several industries. She primarily works with buyers and sellers of private businesses, as well as growth-stage companies on transactional and commercial matters. Emily is focused on helping business owners achieve their goals and she appreciates getting to know her clients on a personal level. She understands the importance of building trust with your legal team and aims to make every transaction or matter as smooth and stress-free as possible. Emily is a regular speaker at the Business Transitions Forum in British Columbia, and is grateful to have been recognized as a Lexpert Rising Star (Leading Lawyers 40 and Under in Canada) in 2025.

Emily is also involved in various industry associations and giving back to her community. She’s volunteered with non-profit organizations including the Association for Corporate Growth, Lawn Summer Nights, Right to Play, Power to Be, and the Hooplaw Society.

Emily is a proud east-coaster, having grown up in Halifax, Nova Scotia. When she isn’t working or volunteering, she enjoys playing sports (including pickleball) or travelling with her wife.
