About
Jaime is a lawyer at MT+Co. She is passionate about creating genuine connections and takes pride in her authenticity, work ethic, and creative problem-solving. Jaime works primarily with our Business Law and Workplace Law groups but appreciates collaborating with and learning from every group at MT+Co.
EXPERTISE
Jaime joined the MT+Co. team as a summer student in 2023, gaining experience and knowledge in each of our practice groups. In her time summering and articling, she developed an interest in business, corporate, and employment law. Jaime particularly enjoys bringing a personal approach to solving complex issues faced by businesses across a range of industries.
While at UVic Law, Jaime worked as a peer tutor, providing first-year students with substantive legal and wellness support. She also worked alongside Dr. Asad Kiyani as a research assistant, analyzing judicial decision-making in cases involving racial profiling.
WORTH NOTING
Before attending law school, Jaime worked and volunteered as a basketball colour commentator and analyst, appearing (briefly) on TSN and Sportsnet. She loves to watch and talk sports and has rediscovered her love of the Canucks after a few years’ hiatus.
Jaime loves to spend time outdoors and around the ocean – surfing, camping, and running in the rain are her favourites. When she’s not outside, she enjoys playing crib and backgammon with her partner or reading a good book.
