About

As the Chief Operating Officer, Rebecca oversees MT+Co.’s core administrative functions, including financial management, budgeting and forecasting, operational systems and infrastructure, Human Resources, technology and information systems, facilities, administration, and non-lawyer personnel. She brings extensive experience in legal finance and law firm management across both the United Kingdom and Canada. Rebecca plays a central role in guiding day-to-day operations while helping shape long-term strategic direction.

Rebecca is known for her ability to translate strategic goals into practical execution. She works closely with leadership to align operational planning with the firm’s long-term vision, ensuring that growth initiatives are supported by strong financial oversight, effective project management, and sound operational infrastructure.  She manages the firm’s ESOP, overseeing its administration and supporting the long-term ownership and succession strategy. Rebecca also reviews, evaluates, and streamlines internal processes and procedures to strengthen efficiency and support growth. A defining aspect of Rebecca’s leadership style is her commitment to people and culture. She believes that successful law firms are built on strong teams, clear communication, and an environment where individuals feel supported, valued, and can be themselves. Through thoughtful leadership and collaboration, she helps foster a workplace culture that prioritizes professionalism, trust, and shared success.

EXPERTISE

Rebecca has been working in the legal industry since 2001. Before moving to Canada, she worked for several Top 20 UK law firms. Her deep foundation in legal finance and operational management ensures the firm operates efficiently and sustainably, enabling lawyers to focus on delivering exceptional client service. In addition to her broad experience in financial management and operational leadership, Rebecca brings significant experience leading complex strategic initiatives. She has played a key role in organizational growth and transformation, including firm expansions, acquisitions, internal reorganizations, the development of new corporate structures, and the addition of new practice groups and offices. She has led significant operational projects, such as the design, development, and build-out of new office spaces, the implementation of new systems and processes, and the integration of teams and infrastructure during periods of change. Rebecca has led the implementation of several end-to-end financial systems, involving process optimization, change management, systems consolidation, risk management, compliance, and data migration.  Her experience also includes financial modelling, analysis, and forecasting, to help support long-term financial planning and operational and strategic decisions.

WORTH NOTING

In 2013, Rebecca traded the big city lifestyle of London, UK, for the more laid-back town of Squamish.  She spends much of her free time exploring the mountains with her husband, their two sons, and two wiener dogs. Rebecca is a bird enthusiast and volunteers with a local injured wildlife network. When she’s not outdoors, Rebecca enjoys cooking and Formula 1, a passion of hers since childhood.
