About
Silvia is a practice manager in our Business Law and Transactions Group. She manages her lawyer’s practices with scrupulous care and dedication. With her amiable personality and contagious laugh, she brings a sense of calm and delight to her team and the rest of MT+Co. Silvia is big on communication, so call her, beep her if you want to reach her (à la Kim Possible style).
Silvia has worked primarily in real estate, where she managed a high volume of files in conveyancing. She has been exposed to corporate law, where she brings her valuable experience in filing annual reports, managing corporate minute books, and handling paperwork for business loan sign-ups to MT+Co. Silvia’s involvement and interest in the legal field began during her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Legal Studies Certificate at Simon Fraser University. While in school, she furthered her involvement by volunteering as a court runner at the Downtown Community Courts with the Elizabeth Fry Society.
WORTH NOTING
To show her multitude of skills, before stepping into the legal industry, Silvia worked in a college cafeteria/catering company and as a bouquet maker – she’s got hundreds of arrangements under her belt! Silvia was an avid soccer player who also participated in three bike marathons and played netball (past tense). She tore both ACLs in both knees within two years of each other. So naturally, her mom won’t let her play soccer anymore. However, Silvia keeps herself active with her fondness for hiking, boxing, practicing hot yoga, and travelling. When she’s giving her knees a rest, you may catch her playing the guitar on Sundays at church and recording music with friends – preferably on a road trip!
