Silvia is a Project Manager who manages her team of business lawyers with scrupulous care and dedication – served with a smile on the side! With her amiable personality and contagious laugh, she brings a sense of calm and delight to her team and the rest of MT+Co.
“I was connected to this firm based on what I was looking for in an office which boiled down to a positive work environment with people I look forward to seeing working alongside every day. MT+Co is very reflective of this.
The firm has strong practices: challenging the status quo and constantly looking for better and newer ways to deal with issues. I am excited to be part of such an innovative and non-conforming law firm.”
Silvia has worked primarily in real estate where she managed a high-volume of files in conveyancing. She has been exposed to corporate law where she brings her valuable experience in filing annual reports, managing corporate minute books and handling paperwork for business loan sign ups to MT+Co.
Silvia’s involvement and interest in the legal field began when she was studying for her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Legal Studies Certificate at Simon Fraser University. While in school, she furthered her involvement by volunteering as a court runner at the Downtown Community Courts with the Elizabeth Fry Society.
To show her multitude of skills, before stepping into the legal industry, Silvia worked in a college cafeteria/catering company and as a bouquet maker – she’s got hundreds of arrangements under her belt!
Silvia was an avid soccer player who has also participated in 3 bike marathons and played netball – past tense. She tore both ACLs in both knees within two years of each other. So naturally, her mom won’t let her play soccer anymore.
However, Silvia keeps herself active with her fondness for hiking, kickboxing, running, practicing hot yoga, and travelling. When she’s giving her knees a rest, you may catch her playing the guitar and recording music with friends – preferably on a road trip!
+I’m not a lawyer, I just help run the place.
